Ah, apologies for the confusion, the "license" and "subscription" language were muddled.

What was written was the following:

Access to Software: A license grants the licensee access to the members area where newer versions of the software may be downloaded for one year from the date of purchase. After a license expires, licensee may continue to use the last version of the software that was available prior to license expiration, or purchase another license to have access to the latest version.

It has now been changed to the following:

Access to Software: A subscription grants the licensee access to the members area where newer versions of the software may be downloaded for one year from the date of purchase. After a subscription expires, licensee may continue to use, according to the terms of this license, the last version of the software that licensee downloaded prior to subscription expiration, or make another purchase to gain access to the latest version.

The subscription (download access) expires one year from the date of purchase, whereas the license does not expire. Instead, the license grants you "forever use" of whatever version of the software you have when the subscription expires.

When a new version is released, a post will be made. Of course, any security updates will always be free.

Thanks for bringing this to light so it could be clarified.
